How to recognize addiction symptoms in yourself and others.

Addiction is a complex issue. Misusing alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs can have both immediate and long-term health effects.

Addiction to sugar is another concept with damaging health effects. Addiction to shopping, TV/video games, or sex can damage a person's home life and lead to isolation and despair.

Recognize the patterns of addiction and find resources to help yourself or your patients.
