1. David Bibbey – FSOMA VP & Legislative Chair

- Florida plans to pass restrictive Dry Needling Law in 2020.
- FL Acupuncture Laws and Public Safety concerns have been defended.
- Florida physical therapists planning to use dry needling are required to:
- - complete supervised education and training program
- - complete supervised patient treatments
- - complete patient consent before dry needling treatments
- - document and report patient injuries and adverse events
- - MAY NOT perform or provide Acupuncture in Florida

2. Jennifer Broadwell – FSOMA Secretary & Advocacy Chair

- Discussing the need for broadening our thinking to more than acupuncture.
- We have made new friends in this past legislative session, how can we use those connections to create opportunities for Asian/Chinese Medicine in the deregulatory environment of the FL Legislature.
- What do we want to clarify or add to our practice?
- How could we enhance Primary Care Provider status?

3. Launch on Social Media, a campaign promoting our medicine
- increase public knowledge and exposure to the benefits of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture
